Finishing Touch Flawless Women's Painless Hair Remover , White/Rose Gold
When I made the decision to shave my face, the whole thing
began.
It should be noted that many ladies shave their faces for
a variety of reasons. In my situation, I'm a lady in my 20s who loves skincare,
and I experimented because I wanted to smooth out the texture of my skin. I
experienced cystic acne in high school, and the scars it left on my skin caused
some pitting. My biggest skin issues are texture, occasionally dry and flaky
skin, and light blond peach fuzz. My skin tone is usually evened out by the medium-to-full
coverage foundation I wear, but pimples, dry patches, and fine hair cannot be
covered up by foundation alone. Quite a bit of liquid and powder, in fact Because you are, in fact, adding additional
textures to your skin with each application, makeup highlights textural
problems.
I'll shave my face to get rid of
the peach fuzz—one less variable—I had a wonderful notion one day. She uses the
Finishing Touch Flawless, an electric facial hair remover that a friend
recommended, to get rid of stray hairs on her top lip and in the area between
her eyebrows. (You might have seen an infomercial for this product; her grandma
had bought it for her at CVS.) I made the decision to undertake my shaving
experiment that day after spotting the tool on sale at Ulta. (It can also be
found in the beauty or "as seen on TV" department at Walgreens,
Walmart, or Amazon.)
The device eliminates all undesirable face hair.
I
sat at my vanity for approximately twenty minutes, peering into my mirror,
slowly tracing the quarter-sized head of the gadget in little circles around
the surface of my cheeks, forehead, and chin. Although I was meticulous and
frequently paused to assess my progress, you could definitely do the task in
much less time. I also took a moment to send a text to the buddy who had
suggested the product, including a picture of my face halfway through with one
side still covered in peach fuzz that was about 1.5 millimetres deep.
It’s easy to use
and non-irritating
The tool's amazing feature is
that it's kind to all skin types. Since the wand is blunt, it won't cut or
penetrate the skin while removing hair. Hair enters the wand as you rake your
skin in a circular motion, where it is cut down by a rotating head. Oh, and
there's a built-in light on the 18K gold-plated tool that makes it simple to
see and remove hair. After that, I was prepared for some irritation, but I was
pleasantly pleased by how peaceful my skin seemed and felt.
It won't result in the hair returning thicker or darker.
It's important to note that the
notion that the hair would regrow thicker and darker serves as a barrier to
shaving the fine hairs on the face. Hair normally tapers out towards the end,
and when it is bluntly cut, like with a razor, the hair appears darker and
thicker than usual. This is according to the Mayo Clinic. But within a week or
two, the hair on my face returned, being the same shade of golden and fluffy as
previously and without getting any darker or coarser.
It is simple to store and clean.
After
"shaving," you can remove the wand head by twisting it off to reveal
the hair in the chamber. I threw the hair away, rinsed the chamber with soap
and water, and then replaced the wand head after it had also been cleaned. The
tool is small and compact, so I put it in my makeup drawer.
The drawbacks are simple to ignore.
Everything should, in my opinion, be rechargeable.
Changing batteries? Archaic. One AA battery, which is provided in the
packaging, is needed for this gadget. Although USB compatibility would be
preferred, I'm delighted it is at least cordless when in use. Additionally,
it's challenging to open the battery compartment. Last but not least, the
Finishing Touch Flawless facial hair removal tool makes noise. Although it
doesn't generate a louder buzzing noise than an electric toothbrush or shaver,
it does signal that you are doing anything.
Does it merit it?
Yes! We are now buddies because a friend recommended this to me,
and I am recommending it to you. I assume that is how it operates. (I won't
lead you astray; I'm your new friend.) This works great if you want to quickly
and painlessly eliminate facial hair without damaging your skin. However, it's
definitely too little to remove undesirable hair from broad areas, and the
small cutting blades perform better on finer hair. You can use it on your arms,
knuckles, or anywhere else. I haven't tried the company's other products,
including a smaller version designed just for brows and a larger version for
usage all over the body.
Despite not being a miraculous fix for
all of my textural issues, my skin now appears significantly smoother sans
peach fuzz.
